Ugadi Celebrations

Telugu Badi conducts an annual day event around Ugadi. Depending on when Ugadi occurs, this event typically happens in March or April. At this time, students of Telugu Badi will participate in a variety of programs to display their learning of the Telugu language. This event also serves as the place where we announce and distribute prizes for the academic competitions that were conducted earlier in the year.

Telugu Badi teachers will make an effort to include each and every student enrolled in Telugu Badi to participate in the events for the Ugadi Celebration. Please encourage your children to join and participate in these events. It will also be the duty of the parents to help the children prepare for each event that they are included in. Typically one child will be allowed to participate in only one event to allow for scheduling conveniences.

Below are some of the events that could be included during the event.

  • Telugu Padyaalu
  • Paatalu
  • Burra Kathalu
  • Nataka/Drama/Skit
  • Dance

We would greatly appreciate if the parents can help put together any event in order to share the load with the teachers. Guidelines on what type of event will be allowed for the program will be shared with you all closer to the date of the event.
